Un viaje, un sueño began in 2026 along the waters of El Salvador—waters that appear familiar and open, yet hold images that remain unseen. I was not interested in describing these places as destinations or as landscape. I wanted to photograph the moment in which they become unstable: when a body entering the water, a boat crossing the frame, rain on the lens or a light reflected at night interrupts the certainty of what is seen.

I make the photographs through observation, movement and duration. In some images I allow different moments to meet; in others I work with blur, reflections and the traces left by weather. Later, through digital post-processing, I continue the work without treating the photograph as a neutral record. I look for the point at which it leaves description behind and becomes a surface for memory.

The series is not about a particular journey. It is about the way a place returns after it has been lived: incomplete, layered and slightly out of reach. Water becomes both landscape and threshold. The figures are present, but never fully available. What remains is not an image of where I was, but the feeling that the place is still moving inside me.
